When can i arrive?
You may arrive at 4pm on Friday, Jan 5. When you arrive, we will check you in, check your COVID and flu vaccination status. You can then move into your cabin and start socializing w/ colleagues. If you plan to arrive after 9pm, please email nwmc@pnwmed.org and let us know.
what meals are provided?
All meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch will be provided, thanks to our generous sponsors.
are vaccinations really required?
Yes. No exceptions. All attendees must be fully vaccinated, including COVID and current flu vaccines, and able to show proof of vaccination. We are professionals and leaders in healthcare, and are expected to set an example that keeps the public’s health at the forefront. Vaccination is our Gore-Tex shell to keep us safe during this ongoing pandemic-becoming-endemic.
Additionally, given that this event is in person, we do not want anyone to risk their life via respiratory infection just so they can come to our (albeit awesome) conference. Vaccination is without a doubt the best way to mitigate this.
what should i Bring?
Please click HERE for a comprehensive packing list.
what should i wear?
It is winter on the flanks of Mt. Hood, and winter in the PNW means anything goes! While many talks will be given indoors, there will be hands-on simulations and workshops happening outside. Bring appropriate clothing (jackets, rain gear, boots, gloves, hat, etc). Here is the latest weather forecast for MHKC.
where will i be sleeping?
There are various dorm-style bunkhouses and cabins at MHKC. You will need to provide your own bedding. Please see the Location page for more info.
is there a rideshare?
In order to accommodate the limited venue parking, save on gas, and facilitate group sing-alongs, we are encouraging participants to carpool to the event. A form has been sent out for you to connect with other students and carpool.
Is alcohol allowed?
Beer, cider, and seltzer will be provided thanks to our generous sponsors. ID will be checked to verify you are over 21. While we want everyone to have fun, please be responsible.
What is FAWM credit?
